Trying to determine what is real news and fake news in the automotive world is becoming harder and harder. We will take Ford Authority at their word here as they claim to have sources working on the Bronco project. This is not confirmed: For now, it's not official but let's hope they got the details right. The Bronco with a 2.7 liter Ecoboost V6 is going to be a lot of fun. It is based on the Ranger platform and the Ranger only offers a four-cylinder Ecoboost but Ford has test mules running around with the 2.7. It seems likely this information is correct. Source

Yes, the Ferrari 456 with a rotary engine swap is real. Yes, the owner ditched the V12. What is not real is that Ferrari got their lawyers involved. It seems Autoevolution.com decided to add that portion in for clicks and the internet ran away with it. BoostAddict bought into it too and ran the story. The car and work involved are cool so that part is correct but Ferrari did not make any legal threats. That is something we want to clarify. How do you stop this sort of click-bait false reporting? You fire the person who wrote it. In this case, Elena Gorgon: https://www.autoevolution.com/editors/browse/elena-gorgan/ Elena should find another job and Autoevolution should set the story straight. If you were wondering how the Dorch Engineering N55 HPFP (High Pressure Fuel Pump) would work in practice well here is an example on a BMW F87 M2 N55B30T0. The car is running an E50 ethanol fuel blend and making over 500 rear wheel horsepower direct injection only. No supplemental methanol injection for fuel or port fuel injection: TTE 550 turbo Dorch Engineering Stage 2 HPFP Wagner intercooler Wagner 200cel downpipe E50 Flash tune BWP The torque figure is in Newton-Meters and works out to 562 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Great results and the Dorch Engineering Stage 2 pump looks to be a solid option on the N55.

If you were not taking the Coronavirus seriously you might want to pay attention. The Swiss government cancelled the 2020 Geneva Auto Show amid concerns of large scale travel for the show and large gatherings of people spreading the virus. The Geneva Motor Show is among the most important automotive industry events and car shows in the world. Several large debut and surprises were expected next month but it seems automakers will either debut online as is increasingly the custom or they will save the public debut for another show. Expect staggered online releases from those who will not attend the New York show in April.

@Jymmijamez That's a very generous pour! Got the regular Blanton (first row pic below to prove ;-) ), not too impressed. Good but not wow. It's just too damn smooth/fine. I need a little kick. Haven't tried the Gold yet. The library definitely my kinda place!!! That paté and bone marrow!!! We have one similar around here https://www.whiskeycake.com/about/ where I bought Pappy Rye 13 which was very good for $180 1.6oz lol Definitely not worthy it but didn't ask the price first. I promised the wife I will stop buying whisky until summer time will start or I would owe her $6k. Tho I quietly bought the last one, for now, Woodinville Whiskey Co. Port Finished Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Heard it's delicious!!! Last but not least....this one is so good and it deserves a separate post. Sadly the distillery, Willowbank, closed it door back in 1997. It won the best New Zealand whisky in 2019 from World Whisky Award. Poached pear at the nose, full flavor/very complex in the palate, almost close to a great rum but not quite as it has that kick once sipping down. LOVE it!!! I got bottle 217 out of 307 made (see the stamp). Not cheap and can't tell you where I got it from as I might have to k you lol Cheers!

W.B. Saffell is on my radar now, thanks for the information. I was recently at Multnomah Whiskey Library in Portland and talked to the bartenders about Papi, and neither bartenders were that impressed given the prices out there for variations of Papi. On another note, I was fortunate to find Blantons in Whitefish, MT while on vacation and picked up a bottle. Plus I got this amazing pour for $11.50 at one of the restaurants.

Why does the BMW N74 twin turbo V12 (the BMW powerplant that supplies Rolls Royce) seem to never get any attention? It may have to do with the clientele that buys the cars which have the motor. Not too many Rolls Royce owners are looking to tune but fortunately VF-Engineering found one who has a Dawn and wanted more out of the motor. The factory horsepower rating for the 6.6 liter V12 is 563 horsepower and torque is rated at 605 lb-ft. Yes, this motor is all about big torque and smooth, seemingly endless power delivery. The baseline on the all wheel drive Mustang dyno is 429 horsepower and 532 lb-ft of torque at the wheels: That is a lot of torque on 91 octane pump gas on a Mustang dyno. Now look at the figures after the VF-Engineering Stage 1 tune, 494 wheel horsepower and 652 lb-ft of wheel torque. That peak torque figure coming in at roughly 2400 rpm meaning there is plenty to get this boat moving off the line. The curves are beautiful with plenty more meat everywhere up until redline (which it not very high). All the torque gained down low is going to be appreciated for whomever is lucky enough to be behind the wheel of this 5700+ pound beauty.

It was only a matter of time before McLaren topped the 720S and released a more hardcore model. McLaren raised the bar so high with the 720S that it will be interesting to see just how much further 765LT pushes things. The official specifications are expected to be out at the end of the year but hopefully leak sooner than that. We can expect what you usually expect from LT McLaren models which is more power, less weight, and revised suspension and aerodynamic pieces. Those with a build slot say there will be 700 coupes and 700 spider models but we shall see. If weight is dropped 100kg and power upped by 50 horses the 765LT might just be stepping on the toes of the Senna for a lot less money. Additionally, the biggest beneficiary may be those looking for a used 720S as prices will likely get pushed down. Expect more details toward the end of the year.

If you are serious about drag racing this is something you will want to look into. Ghassan Automotive is offering a billet aluminum flex plate transmission adapter for N54, N55, or S55 applications that will work with GM Power-glide, TH-400, TH-350, 4L80, and 4L60 overdrive transmissions. The rear end and transmission is definitely a weak link for E9X N54's in particular. BimmerBoost believes the S55 and F-Series chassis with a DCT is more than capable of strip duty as evidenced by 9-second passes early in its lifespan. Guys in the N54 community though have much cheaper cars and many are making dedicated drag racing builds. Those gentlemen definitely will want to take a look at this.
